ACT & SAT ONLINE PREP COURSES
ACT & SAT Online courses are aimed at students looking for Personalized Courses and Adaptive Curriculum based on their strengths & weaknesses.
WHAT IS THE DURATION OF THE COURSE?
Each class will be 2 hours long held twice a week for 6 weeks. Students have the option to choose classes that take place on weekday evenings or weekends. One-on-One classes provide the flexibility of being scheduled at times convenient to the student on a weekly basis.
HOW ARE THE CLASSES DESIGNED?
The design of the online classes simulate a real classroom. There is constant interaction between the students and teacher during the class. A whiteboard, chat box, live video, and microphone features are built into the classroom.
The integrated white board allows for uploading presentations, drawing out problems, and listing strategies. All functions can be utilized by both students and teachers during the class. Students can use the chat box to ask questions to the teacher and answer problems. Every students is also able to use their microphone and video to speak to the teacher directly.
Teachers create curriculum for the course that covers all sections of the test including the writing section. Multiple tests will be administered as the class progresses to view score improvements. Homework will be given at the end of each class covering topics discussed during the lecture.
WHY ARE OUR ONLINE PREP CLASSES UNIQUE?
Our Small Group Online Classes place 3 to 4 students with similar strengths or weaknesses together based on a placement test. Since our class sizes are kept at 3 to 4 students, this gives the teacher time to work with students outside of class to help with questions and discuss strategies.
The One-on-One class option is also available for a student who would like more personal attention during a class. A teacher is matched with a student based on the placement test results. This is a great option for a student who is involved in after school activities and does not have a consistent weekly schedule.
The teacher will be like a mentor, available to answer questions at any time outside of class. To make sure students are achieving optimal scores, progress reports are given during intervals of the courses. Based on these results and student feedback, teachers are able to adjust what areas to cover during the next class.
WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE OF THE COURSE?
The Small Group Online Courses cycle every 2 weeks. They take place twice a week on either weekends or two days during weekday evenings depending on what is more convenient for the student. The One-on-One classes can be scheduled at any time.
WHAT IS YOUR REFUND AND MAKE-UP POLICY?
A full refund of the course can be given to a student if he or she decided to drop out of the ACT or SAT Course within 24 hours of the first class administered. After this time period no refunds will be given to keep class sizes constant for the teacher. Teachers will allow for an alternate time during the week to meet if makeup sessions are needed (maximum of two times for a small group online course.) For One-on-One classes, a student is allowed to reschedule up to 24 hours before the next class. If more than two classes are missed, the guarantee of improving scores will not be applicable.
